I'm David Dimech — a Malta-based composer and orchestral arranger. I write emotional, texture-forward music and arrange for live orchestra, most recently for Malta's Mużika Mużika festival.
A psychological thriller adapting Shakespeare's Macbeth. The score follows Macbeth's descent — restrained strings and low, breathing texture that tighten into dread. Directed by Francis Ghersci.

ProducerOrchestral warmth meeting modern electronic texture. Below: original cues and scoring studies — pieces re-scored to existing scenes, to show range. (Studies are practice-to-picture, not commissioned work.)
I studied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malta and build tools for artists at Stargate Studios Malta. That means I don't just write music — I understand stems, delivery specs, and the modern post pipeline, and I make the technical side of a score frictionless.
I'm drawn to scores that say a lot with a little: the restraint of Jóhann Jóhannsson, the raw cello world of Hildur Guðnadóttir, the warmth of Ólafur Arnalds, and the character writing of Nicholas Britell. That's the tradition I write into.
